The current government has failed in many ways. It lacks one key aspect that consistently is absent, and that is our voice. Through an unbiased system we can create a virtual congress. By the people, for the people.
Help today by contributing how you would envision a direct democracy in your town, or city, or the nation. Start by coming up with a blue print. Take a look at where we have gotten as it unfolds.
Together we all can be the founding fathers of a new generation in politics. In one where our voices are heard.
The goal of this site is to develop a fair and balanced virtual congress. We need you to come up with how a congress would be fair. Political and social minorities should be represented, and defended against the majority in a just society. How can we devise a system that is equal for all?

As individuals we share many common values, and beliefs. However, we are each unique.
Dividing a congress based on parties is illogical. Even if there were 5 parties or 20. How a person might vote doesn't determine their affiliation.
Whats the solution?
Overall or State/National
Political groups. You can be a member of several. Each group could be based on specific issues. A group for the environment with sub groups for solar, or wind. A group for banks, with sub groups representing sectors.
People could join and support these groups. To discuss the issues inside these groups, to form legislation. The group itself would in a way be a vote for the issues they represent.
Local Example:
Want a streetlight at that stop sign? Form a group, petition your neighbors and sign them up. Petition your local government.

They can sort out these sources with various controls such as location, priority, seen/unseen, save in a "archive" or discard. Highlight, share, append into a conversation, quote...

admin Ron Paul is awesome and if congress was filled with more guys like him then we wouldn't need to do this. However, that being said, this movement is based on the firm belief that we are intelligent enough to vote for ourselves. Someone like Ron Paul could be a guide to us in that regard.174 days ago -
